The Rotary Club of Madison County [RCMC] raised funds from its 2025 Golf Tournament with the purpose of “empowering girls in our community.” Grants are now available for organizations (non-profits, churches, clubs, etc). No grants to individuals.
We invite potential organizations to submit a brief and simplified description of the project that is designed to “Empower Girls of Madison County,” such as:
– Building Leadership Skills, by increasing confidence and feelings of accomplishment;
– Financial Literacy, improving knowledge base of managing personal money, budgeting, saving and managing debt,’
– Creating STEAM opportunities for girls in Madison County to imagine and achieve their dreams, whether in the Arts, Sciences, History or other learning experiences. (STEAM=Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics),
– Other appropriate experiential opportunities to empower girls of Madison County.
Please identify your organization, physical address, primary Contact name, with email address and best phone contact.
Share how long this program/project has been functioning or planned, how many girls will be participating and period of time for this specific portion of project. Indicate if sustainability is planned or if not. Some projects can be intended for a specific period of time.
Include a project budget with your proposal, how much you’re asking RCMC for, and if there are other funds committed or available.
In 2024, we awarded $4,000 as follows: $2,000 to Girls On The Run, $1,500 to PAGE and $500 to Girl Scout Troop serving Madison County girls.
We ask that awardees report back to an RCMC meeting with a brief summary of what was accomplished (more info at that time).
